The development of report
writing skills and the use of home links through the Internet have had very
good effects.
Parents are now better able to "interpret" reports and a two way
flow of information has enabled Teachers to set appropriate targets for pupils.
An experienced Inspector of Schools can outline strategies for improving communications
between parents and school in a way which does not intrude on the running
of the school and the delivery of the curriculum but which does have positive
outcomes for pupil progress.
