An effective Appraisal
System in a School will identify needs. These are not just the needs of individual
teachers for development of skills and career progression but will set the
agenda for INSET to address whole school needs.
At the end of an Appraisal Cycle, the S.L.T. should be able to recognise whole
school needs in terms of Curriculum Development, Resource Management and other
relevant factors.
A Registered Inspector can review an existing Appraisal system and advise
on the key elements of an effective policy.
