At any level in a school,
Management is about getting the best performance out of the staff and enabling
them to cope with change.
Underpinning all school improvement is the quality of Teaching and Learning;
the quality of the experience in the classroom.
Heads of Department and Curriculum Leaders are the middle management stratum
of the school. They work with teams of teachers through which the aims and
policies of the schools are put into practice.
An experienced curriculum leader can introduce middle management to ways in
which they might develop their Management Skills and Administrative practices.
