Windows Explorer Explanation

Windows Explorer

Regard your hard disc drive as a filing CABINET. The cabinet contains a number of DRAWERS and in each drawer will be many HANGING FILES in which individual pieces of paper are placed.

If we now make the comparison with a computer then:-

1. The filing cabinet      = (C:)   Root
2. The drawers            =          Folders
3. The hanging folders  =          Sub-folders (folders within folders)
4. The pieces of paper  =         Individual files.

NB.     DO NOT move or delete any file or folder which you have not built.
